International Projects

International work is part funded through the Global Challenges Research Fund delivering research, demonstration and transformation initiatives in Africa.The Centre works with a network of partners across Africa working with universities, research institutions, communities, businesses and stakeholders to meet global challenges and address the UN Sustainable Development Goals.The RECIRCULATE programme delivers solutions to pressing problems with water use, quality and safety.  It focuses on creating a Circular Water Economy based on sewage disposal, energy generation, food production andwater quality.By working with different partners and across disciplines, RECIRCULATE co-designs research with partners in Africa, building on research and behavioural solutions which address the sustainable water challenge.For further information please visit the RECIRCULATE website.

RECIRCULATE
RECIRCULATE is an international collaboration led by Lancaster University with partners in Ghana, Nigeria, Malawi, Zambia, Botswana and Kenya.

ACTUATE
ACTUATE is an international collaboration led by Lancaster University to deliver demonstrator facilities to communities in sub-Saharan Africa to establish examples of best practice.
